Good to see the senior players like Shojaei, Dejagah, Ghafouri, Rezaeian finally exit the main call up. But why keep seniors like Amiri and Mazaheri? While bring senior low-level players like Khalilzadeh, Imani and Ansari into a new group, when the aim should be to create new squad that should head into 3-4 years of future games? Also hopefully they will keep players that choose to play in second tier league like Qatar Stars League out of the main squad.

Khalilzadeh, Amiri, Nemati, Imani and Ansari - really? Waste of possibility to have a generational shift to secure our future. And just because Taremi, Beiranvand, Jahanbaksh aren't fixed on their respective teams currently they should always be present in the 23 player squad to gain momentum/balance to when they get more playing time. Hoped Skocic brought new energy and new ideas, but waste of our time again. Iran is by far besides Japan and South Korea the Asian nation with most talents, but every coach comes and somehow screws this up since the Daei/Mahdavikia generation no coach have managed to actually set a 23 man fixed team + on call's from U23 and U21 so secure our future as well. I truly wish Team Melli only good energy but with now two different call ups and so many flaws in the call ups Skocic isn't the right choice neither!
