PLDC - Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIFF) has hit out the reports that Team Melli coach Marc Wilmots has canceled his contract with Iran.
Belgian site Nieuwsblad.be has reported that Wilmots is on the verge of terminate his contract since the Iranian federation has not paid his salary.
Abdolkazem Taleghani, a member of the IRIFF board, said the federation has paid the Belgian coach’s wage.
“As long as I know, Wilmots has received his payment. I was in football federation yesterday and I did not see any request from Wilmots,” Taleghani said.
It’s while the media reports suggest that Iran goalkeeping coach Laurent Spinosi has parted company with Team Melli.
