Tasnim - Former Persepolis and Sepahan coach Zlatko Kranjcar is a candidate to take charge of Iran U-23 football team.
The 62-year-old Croat had been nominated to be appointed as Iranian Olympic football team in 2014 but ex-Iran defender Mohammad Khakpour was chosen for the post at that time.
Iran U-23 football team is without a coach after parting company with Amir Hossein Peyrovani in July.
Under the guidance of Peyrovani, the Iranian football team failed to qualify for the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship in China.
Now, the Iranian football federation is searching for a new head coach and media reports suggest that Kranjcar is a candidate to take charge of the team.
Kranjcar led Sepahan to win Iran Professional League (IPL) and Iran Hazfi Cup.
