Tasnim - Iranian national football team's head coach Carlos Queiroz has praised SC Heerenveen striker Reza Ghoochannejhad.

The Iranian international forward returned to SC Heerenveen after managing just five goals in 43 appearances Charlton Athletic.

He joined the Dutch Eredivisie side and has been scoring goals for fun. The 29-year-old has scored 15 goals in 26 games for the club this season.

His total of 12 Eredivisie goals is second only to Nicolai Jorgensen of Feyenoord.

"He scores goals when the team needs him," Iran coach Carlos Queiroz told ESPN FC in January. "There are not many Asian strikers who score regularly in Europe, and he has worked hard to get where he is. He is a team player who works hard in defence, but whatever the team's situation, he can get you a goal."
