Tasnim - Esteghlal of Tehran football team defeated Siahjamegan 3-1 in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Monday.

Esteghlal is second in IPL table, behind Esteghlal Khuzestan on goal difference.

In the match held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Mohsen Karimi opened the scoring for Esteghlal in the 36th minute and Sajjad Shahbazzadeh was on target for the Blues three minutes before the halftime.

Reza Enayati pulled a goal back in the 50th minute but video replay showed that ball has not passed over the goal line.

Esteghlal veteran striker Arash Borhani made it 3-1 in the 66th minute.

Earlier in the day, Tractor Sazi beat Naft 1-0 in Tehran’s Takhti Stadium thanks to a goal from Saeid Aghaei in the 45th minute.
