Tasnim - Iran Football Federation (IFF) announced on Saturday that it has terminated the contract of Nelo Vingada as Iran Olympic coach.
“We’ve terminated our contract with Vingada and Iran Olympic team will hold its training camp in Qatar without him,” IFF president Ali Kaffashian said.
“We’ve negotiated with some coaches but have not yet reached an agreement with them,” he added.
Former Sepahan coach Zlatko Kranjcar is the most likely candidate to replace the Portuguese coach.
Under tutelage of Vingada, the Iranian Olympic football team suffered an early exit from the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
