PLDC - In the 8th week of the Iranian Professional League, Pas faced Persepolis and was defeated by them with the score of 1-0. The very active match was played well with both teams motivated and active on the too muddy pitch which did not really allow for a great performance. The only goal of the match was scored for Persepolis by Payan Rafaat on a pass from Khanmohammadi in the 25th minute of the first half.

Despite lively attacks and counters neither team managed to score any more goals but each side was threatened a number of times. In the second minute of injury time in the second half, Nosrati of Pas was dismissed for a foul on Rafaat.

Ali Parvin, head coach of Persepolis, spoke to the media after the match, “I thank the officials of Takhti stadium for their efforts in getting the stadium ready for this match. Any club who plays fairly against Persepolis will witness an attractive game but rough play is not acceptable. Persepolis begins preparing itself for any club they want to play against from the first day of each week.”

Homayoon Shahrokhi, head coach of Pas, commented, “Pas played well but was unlucky and this should not be said but the referee favored Persepolis more. I am not satisfied with the refereeing. The pitch was really
bad. You can hardly walk on it let alone run there.”
