AIK land young duo&nbsp; <img border="0" src="http://www.persianleague.com/images/pic.gif" width="13" height="11">

UEFA - AIK have signed highly-rated forward Arash Talebinejad and defender Fredrik Björck from Västra Frölunda IF.

No doubts
"It feels fantastic to join the club that will win the championship next year," said the 21-year-old Talebinejad, who has signed a four-year contract. "It's a fantastic squad and there's a lot of competition. That suits me well."

Fantastic form
Talebinejad was in fantastic form during the 2002 season, playing an important role as Frölunda reached the promotion/relegation play-offs only to be denied by IFK Göteborg. The Under-21 international scored 12 goals in 28 matches and won plenty of praise in the Swedish media.

Great chemistry
Talebinejad will be joined at AIK by central defender Björck who was also a revelation in the Swedish second division last season. AIK assistant manager Pär Millqvist said: "Fredrik has had a fantastic year and is very strong in the air, while Arash is just the kind of striker we are looking for. It's really great that they've chosen AIK." The club's managing director Stefan Söderberg added: "The chemistry between AIK and Fredrik and Arash is great, and I'm sure they will be a success."

Arash Talebinejad is one of the hottest prospects in Swedish football. The 21-year-old has shot to stardom in 2002. He has made his debut för the U 21 national team, when he came on in the game against Russia in August.He has scored a hat-trick in his first game as a starter in the U 21, hitting three goals against Latvia in September. 
And he has helped his club Frölunda fight in the top of Superettan, Sweden's second division, by scoring regularly.

The quick and strong forward is hard to stop, and he has also quite good skill with the ball. And in front of the goal he knows how to finish of an attack. 

Arash Talebinejad's contract expires this fall and the student of the University of Technology in Gothenburg has a lot to think about. 
How will he continue to develop as a player? Because everyone can see he has an enormous potential.

Talebinejad came as a six-year-old from Iran to Sweden with his family. He started playing football and quite early it was possible to spot his talent. He played senior football for Boras AIK and scored many goals. He was a success when Boras top-team Elfsborg played a yearly game versus local talents, but the 18-year old Talebinejad chose Frölunda of Gothenburg instead. 

His first year was a downer, he was injured and Frölunda was relegated. The second season wasn't much better as the injuries kept dogging him. But in 2002 he finally got the chance to show his real worth. And he took it - now everyone is interested in Talebinejad.
