Darabinian, “We beat the strongest team”

PLDC - In the 4th week of the Iranian Professional League, Persepolis lost at home to Zob Ahan of Isfahan with the result of 1-0. This was Persepolis’s first defeat so far but was a valuable victory for Zob Ahan. Samuel 
Darabinian, Zob Ahan head coach commented to the press and media after this match, “It was a tough match and both teams put on a fine performance in the final minutes of the game. Our team finally received the three points and defeated the strongest team in Iran.”

“It was interesting that before the match the players were trying to raise my spirits. Instead of me giving them advice and calming them, they were telling me not to worry and relax. We needed this victory. The refereeing of the match was fair and I have no complaints.”
