GOAL - The Istanbul giants are in the market for a new coach, and the current Persepolis boss revealed that he would welcome the opportunity to take charge of the Turkish side again

Persepolis coach Mustafa Denizli has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to return to Besiktas ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.

The 62-year-old previously coached the Turkish giants from 2008 until 2010, and is reportedly one of the candidates to replace Tayfur Havutcu as the man in charge of the Istanbul outfit.

Havutcu replaced Carlos Carvalhal as Besiktas coach early in April, but he's expected to step down as trainer this summer in order to make way for a high-profile name, with Denizli supposedly sitting in pole position to take the reins.

"I haven't received an official offer from Besiktas yet. I have some things that I need to deal with here in Iran, but I am ready to return if Besiktas want me," Denizli said to Vatan.

"The club's recent financial troubles are not important for me. Besiktas can fight for the title regardless of the players they have."

Besiktas have also been linked with Ralf Rangnick, Zico and Hristo Stoichkov.
