PFDC - ISTANBUL, Vfl Wolfsburg and Iran winger Ashkan Dejagah will arrive in Istanbul on Sunday night, despite being doubtful for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers due to injury.
A pulled hamstring in the thigh, suffered in German Bundesliga almost a month ago, reportedly will rule out the 25-year-old from Iran's important games in early June, however, Dejagah will fly directly from Germany to Istanbul, where Team Melli currently hold a training camp until June 1.
Dejagah will arrive in Turkey at 10:45pm Sunday night and will be examined by the Iranian national team's medical staff there during the next days.
Recent reports indicated that Dejagah is recovering well, but will still miss out the two qualifiers against Uzbekistan (June 3) and Qatar (June 12).
Meanwhile Team Melli will take on Albania in a friendly match in Istanbul (19:00 local time) on Sunday.
Albania just recently defeated Qatar 2-1 in a friendly match in Madrid.
