Sanat Naft defeat Esteghlal at home

PLDC - The winners of last year’s Elimination Cup, Esteghlal of Tehran, played their Professional League second week away match against Sanat Naft of Abadan and were defeated by their opponents with the score of 1-0. As expected, the head coach of Sanat Naft, Mansour Porhiedari who was the head coach of Esteghlal Tehran last season, knew how to defeat their tough opponents and give his team the advantage.

The match was played in a full stadium mostly composed of Sanat Naft fans who cheered their home team relentlessly. Encouraged by this, Sanat Naft presented a very good game and the best player of the club during 
the game was Alireza Khedmatkari who scored the only goal of the match for Sanat Naft in the 44th minute and came close to scoring a number of other times.

In the second half both teams played offensively and Faraz Fatemi of Esteghlal missed a few opportunities to score. The game became more intense from the 70th minute but ended without any other goals being scored. 

After this victory, Sanat Naft now stands tenth in the league table with 3 points (one win and one loss). Esteghlal Tehran has gone up to 5th place with 3 points and a one point goal difference.
