TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis coach Mustafa Denizli said the team does not fear the prospect of facing Al Gharafa and its Iranian striker Farhad Majidi.

The Tehran-based football club will face Al Gharafa on Wednesday at the Tani Bin Jassin Stadium in Group D of the AFC Champions League.

“Persepolis started the AFC Champions League well and we are going to keep our lead in the competitions,” Denizli said.

“I am satisfied with my players’ performance in the Asian Championship. Persepolis is just concentrating on the competitions,” the 63-year-old said.

“In my opinion, Farhad Majidi (former Esteghlal striker) is not Persepolis killer. We have specific plan to stop him. I wish Majidi all the best but Persepolis is more important for me,” Denizli said.
