Persepolis, who is gearing up for Tehran derby against Esteghlal slated for Thursday, failed to defeat Zob Ahan despite creating so many chances during the match.
“We knew that the match would be tough and I am satisfied with the result. My players did well against Persepolis,” Zob Ahan coach Mansour Ebrahimzadeh said during the post-match news conference.
Earlier, Iran Professional League (IPL) leader Esteghlal defeated Traktorsazi 2-0 in Tabriz and went three points clear at the top of the table.
Persepolis is eighth with 30 points while Zob Ahan remained 10th with 29 points.
