TEHRAN - Substitute Amir-Hossein Aslanian scored in the injury time of the second half to seal the victory of his side Persepolis (Pirouzi) against Paykan in a match of the second week of Iran Pro League held Friday. Before 20,000 partisan fans in Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, the reds extracted three points as Aslanian fired home in the 91st minute to give Persepolis a 1-0 win, fulfilling the promise the Head Coach Ali Parvin had made before the match. Jalal Moradi judged the derby. In other matches, Barq of Shiraz overcame Esteqlal of Ahvaz 2-1, Fajr-e Sepassi beat Foulad of Khuzestan 1-0, Abu Moslem and Foulad of Mobarakeh tied 1-1, and SAIPA defeated Zob Ahan 1-0. |
