National soccer team assistant coach Liestiadi said that they were wary of the Palestinian team, which has so far posted a 2-2 draw with Thailand and 0-1 loss against the country.
“We are wary of the Palestinian [soccer team],” he said on Sunday, as reported by tempointeraktif.com.
He added that the match against Palestine would give the national team a better idea about the game against Iran because the physical posture of players from both countries was similar.
Indonesia will face Iran during the third round of the Asian Zone Pre-World Cup 2014 qualifiers.
Indonesian team striker Christian Gonzales said the squad was ready to face their opponents.
“Hopefully, we will win,” he said.
