Persepolis acting president Habib Kashani said that Estili is one of the club’s candidates to take charge of the team.
Ali Daei’s contract with Persepolis has expired and media reports indicated that he has no intention to extend the contract.
“Ali Daei is our priority. We’ve also negotiated with Hamid Estili. Mohammad Mayeli-Kohan, Mansour Ebrahimzadeh and Hamid Derakhshan are other options to take the job,” Kashani said.
According to Kashani, the Persepolis’s new coach will be announced during the next 48 hours.
On Friday, Persepolis defeated Malavan of Bandar Anzali 4-3 on aggregate score in Iran’s Hazfi Cup final and will take part in the next season’s AFC Champions League.
