MNA - Persepolis coach Ali Daei says that his mission with the popular football team has been completed accomplish.

Persepolis won Iran’s Hazfi Cup on Friday despite a 1-0 loss to Malavan in Bandar Anzali. Persepolis had defeated the Anzali-based team 4-2 in the first leg and claimed the title 4-3 on aggregate.
“I am so happy about winning the title since I owed the Persepolis fans. My contract with Persepolis has expired, and I am glad to fulfill my responsibility to the team,” Daei said at the post-match news conference.

“Some people tried to drag me down, but they were not able to. They even attended the championship celebration,” he added.

“I am so disappointed about these kinds of things. I think I need to learn new lessons in order to deal with duplicitous liars. At first, I was not going to reply to them, but I was eventually obliged to respond,” Daei declared.

Commenting on the unprofessional way the award ceremony was handled, Ali Daei said, “There were no stairs to the podium, and I was not well prepared to jump on the stage. It was so ridiculous.”
