MNA - Persepolis football team defeated Sepahan of Isfahan in a penalty shootout and qualified for the Iran’s Hazfi Cup semifinal.

After a goalless 120 minutes in front of more than 70,000 spectators in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, two teams went to penalty shootout in which  Persepolis defeated Sepahan 4-2.

Persepolis will be playing against Foolad of Khuzestan on Thursday in Ahvaz while Malavan will host Esteghlal in semifinal.
 
“I believe that our fans are real winners. Thank God we could make them feel happy. Persepolis beat a strong team and it’s a huge satisfaction,” Pesepolis coach Ali Daei said in the post-match media conference.
