The match was originally scheduled for June 7 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium but Iran Football Federation (IFF) announced it would not be held on that date.
Iran coach Carlos Queiroz had said, “The match was scheduled immediately after the domestic league season, the players would be exhausted, so it cannot work at that time.”
Two parties have reached an agreement to hold the friendly on August 10 in Tehran.
Iran will also play a friendly match against Madagascar on July 17 in Tehran in preparation for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
The Iranian team begins their long quest for a fourth World Cup appearance when they play the Maldives in their opening qualifiers on June 29 and July 3.
The Iranian football team will also play a friendly against Ukraine on September 2 but the match might be called off or postponed due to the World Cup qualifiers.
