MNA - Iran has dropped four places in the latest world football rankings released by FIFA on Wednesday.

In the world rankings Iran moved down to 47th with 575 points.
The team has stayed in fourth place among Asian teams, behind Japan, Australia, and South Korea respectively.
 
Spain remains on top of the rankings with 1857 points, followed by the Netherlands (1702 points) and Brazil (1425 points).
 
Iran has appointed former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz as the new coach of its national team. Iran was without a coach since the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
