PTV - Pas of Hamedan has defeated Naft Abadan in the 27th week of the Iran Premier League (IPL) to step up from the bottom of the 18-team table.

Pas gained the victory on Friday after 18 weeks of unsuccessful results and leapfrogged Steel Azin to sit on the 17th spot of the league's table.

Amir Mohebbi scored a late winner for Pas in the 85th minute of the match to finally give Pas fans a reason to cheer.

All of the other matches of the day ended in a draw.

Mes and Peykan tied 1-1, Naft Tehran and Teraktorsazi were held with the same result, Foulad and Rah Ahan finished scoreless, and the match between Shahrdari and Saipa ended 2-2.

Zob Ahan still leads the table with 50 points, only one point adrift of Sepahan, which is in second with 49 points and one match in hand.

Teraktorsazi stands third with 46 points after 27 matches, a game more than Esteqlal and its archrival Persepolis which are fourth and fifth, respectively.
