MNA - Persepolis football team moved one place up in the Iran Professional League (IPL) table by beating Foolad on Friday.

 In the match held at the Azadi Stadium, Persepolis defeated Foolad 3-1 in front of approximately 15,000 spectators.

Sepehr Heydari’s header gave Persepolis a lead in the 60th minute. Hadi Norouzi scored Persepolis second goal in the 82nd minute but Reza Maghuli pulled a goal back for Foolad from a free kick in the 90th minute.

The visitors put Persepolis under pressure to level the match but conceded its third goal from a counter attack in the added time. Hossein Badamaki scored Persepolis third goal.

Persepolis moved to the fifth place with 40 points. Zob Ahan is top bagging 48 points followed by Esteghlal (44 points), Sepahan (43 points) and Traktorsazi (41 points).
