PTV - Tehran's popular soccer team Persepolis has been held to a 1-1 draw against Mes Kerman in the 23rd week of the Iranian Premier League.
The visitors took the lead when Pejman Nouri scored the opener after 29 minutes at Bahonar Stadium in Kerman on Thursday.
In the second half, the hosts pushed forward for an equalizer and leveled the matters through Rouhollah Bigdeli in the 62nd minute.
"We couldn't win Persepolis because our team lacks a top striker," said Mes Kerman manager, Parviz Mazloumi.
"Our players didn't take advantage of the opportunities they created," he added.
But the Reds' coach, Afshin Peyrovani, declared that his men deserved to win the game.
"We put them under a lot of pressure and we deserved to get the whole three points of the match," Peyrovani said.
Mes Kerman has not been defeated at home since the beginning of the season.
The result keeps Persepolis in the fourth place of the Premier League with 37 points, and Mes Kerman in sixth place with 34 points.
Persepolis is six points behind its arch-rival Esteqlal Tehran that is the top of the league.
