The decision to have the 38-year-old native of Shiraz join Persepolis was confirmed Wednesday afternoon by the club's board of directors, Fars news reported.

Peyrovani's Squad will begin training under his supervision on Saturday.

The club's officials are expected meet again to select a head coach and technical staff for the team.

Last May, Persepolis won the Iranian Premier League Championship to become the first club to hold to title for a second time. The team, however, lost its head coach, Afshin Qotbi, at the end of the premier league due to personal family problems.
