Iran Star Samereh Joins UAE Club

FNA - Iranian star Ali Samereh has signed a one-year deal with UAE club Ajman worth a reported one million dollars.

The striker was a crowd favorite with Al Shaab after spending the last four years with the club.

According to reports, the fans of the club asked management to keep the two-time league top scorer, who spent a short time on loan with Perugia of Italy in 2001.

The ex-Esteghlal star is ready to help his new club establish itself as it prepares for a season in the top flight for the first time in its history.

"I have a great ambition with my new club, not only to stay in the professional league, but to win a good position in the standings," said Ali Samera in a press conference held at Ajman club.

"I would like to experience the next season with Ajman, which has just been promoted to the UAE League Division 1."
