PTV - The AFC Champions League 2007 finalist Sepahan F.C. has sacked Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira due to a series of disappointing results.

Just four months after signing a deal with the Iranian club, Vieira agreed to depart.

After a meeting with the managing director of Sepahan, Mohammad-Reza Saket, it was announced that the sides had reached an agreement on a compensation package.

Sepahan was defeated in both the Asian Champions League and the Hazfi Cup (a knockout competition for Iranian soccer teams).

The Isfahan-based outfit lost the Iranian Premier League (IPI) title on the last day of the tournament.

Tehran's Persepolis was then crowned as the champion in May after defeating Sepahan 2-1 with a late-goal by defender Sepehr Heidari.
