Esteqlal, Persepolis disappoint fans

PTV - Tehran's most popular soccer teams Esteqlal and Perspolis have lost their matches against Pegah Gilan and Esteqlal Ahvaz respectively.

Pegah Gilan F.C. defeated Esteqlal of Tehran 4-1 at Tehran's Azadi stadium on Friday afternoon.

On Friday evening, Esteqlal Ahvaz F.C. managed to beat Perspolis 4-1 in the 27th week of Iran's premier league at Takhti stadium in the city of Ahvaz.

Esteqlal Ahvaz moved to the fourth place in the Iranian league table with 40 points, while Perspolis slipped to third place with 42 points and Tehrans Esteqlal of Tehran dropped to sixth place with 38 points.

Sepahan Isfahan is currently on the top of the IPL table with 46 points and Sababatri is second with 45 points after defeating Sanat Mes Kerman Football Club 1-0.
