Iran to face Qatar in friendly match

PTV - Iran's national soccer team will pit their skills against the Qatari squad in a preparatory match for the World Cup 2010 Qualifiers.

The friendly match will be hosted by Iran on January 9. Iran defeated Qatar 1-0 in a friendly match played in March.

Another game is scheduled between Iran and Germany's FC Hansa Rostock at Tehran's Azadi Stadium on January 5.

Iran is in Group 5 of the World Cup 2010 Qualifiers and will compete against other Asian teams, including Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
