Platini: Suspension of Iranian FF Unlikely

Fars - Head of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Michel Platini said although Iran's football federation is experiencing many problems and difficulties, FIFA is unlikely to suspend its operation.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with FNA in Switzerland on Sunday, France's legendary Platini called on Iran to draw a line of separation between football and politics.

"Anyway, if you separate politics from your football, all your problems will undoubtedly be solved in less than a month," he added.

The UEFA president also stressed the need for Iran to select the head of its football federation as soon as possible.
