IRNA - Ashkan Dejagah made his debut goal for VfL Wolfsburg in his team's 2-1 defeat at his former club Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

Dejagah's 17-meter distance shot equalized the score in the 61st minute but it was not enough as Berlin's Nigerian striker Okoronkwo ensured his squad's win with a goal in the 88th minute.

Meanwhile, Dejagah's other Iranian compatriot in the Bundesliga, Vahid Hashemian came into the game in 70th minute, scoring the winning goal for Hannover only one minute later.

Hannover beat rivals VfL Bochum 3-2 at home.

Hashemian's club is currently ranked 9th with six points out of four games, while Wolfsburg is placed 11th with four points out of four matches.
