MNA – Iran’s top football club Esteqlal inked an 18-month contract with the Dutch coach Theodore Jung here Monday.

The two sides finally reached an agreement after a row over the price.

Jung, who had already asked for a 440,000-euro wage, agreed to work as the assistant of Samad Marfavi with a 350,000-euro payment.

The capital-based Esteqlal is the holder of Iran Pro League and will represent the country in the Asian Champions League.

Last season, Jung was the assistant of his fellow countryman Arie Haan, who coached Persepolis, another popular Iranian team.
