GOAL - He may have lost his place in the Iranian national team and have experienced relegation with Kaiserslautern in May 2006 but things are looking up for Fereydoon Zandi at FC Koblenz.

The club was promoted last season and currently sits in fifth place in German’s second tier.

“We are not in 5th place undeservedly,” he was quoted as saying in Iran Sports press.

“However, that does not make a single one of us think that we are one of the best teams in the division.”

” We know that we have not achieved anything yet, but of course we should be happy with our current position. We have a team that works well together. A lot of the players who played a role in our promotion to Bundesliga 2 are still with the club and this is very important for the success of the team."

Zandi believes that the great team spirit at the club will keep Koblenz moving forward.

"Playing in Bundesliga 2 has introduced a new world to the players and they want to remain in this division no matter what. This is clearly understandable. They run and fight with everything they have and do not want to be relegated."
