MNA - The AFC Asian Cup 2007 second-leg qualifier between host Syria and Iran will kick off in the capital Damascus at 1600 GMT (19:30 Tehran’s time) Wednesday.

The two Group B-bound sides fought to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Tehran.

South Korea is the table-topper on seven points out of three games while Iran is second with five, third-placed Syria has four, and bottom-placed Taiwan has earned no point.

Korea will host Taiwan in Suwon Wednesday.

The top two teams will qualify for the event’s finals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
