Persepolis lose to Wigan in pre-season warm-up

AFC - Iran Pro League club Persepolis lost 4-2 to English Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic in a friendly played as part of their pre-season warm-up here on Tuesday.

Emile Heskey, Henri Camara (a brace) and Andreas Johansson were on target for Wigan against Arie Haan’s side. The English side had raced into a 3-0 lead before half time with Heskey striking and Camara bagging his double.

Javad Kazemian wasted an easy one-on-one scoring chance in the 15th minute but Hossein Badamaki and Farzad Ashoobi pulled two back after the break.

Perspolis had lost their first match in this training camp
