Kerman’s Mes joins IPL teams

MNA – First-division Mes of the southeastern Kerman Province promoted to the sixth Iran Pro League (IPL) here Sunday.

Mes celebrated its qualification with an aggregate 4-2 victory over HOMA.

The Kermani team beat the Tehran-based HOMA 3-1 in the first-leg playoff and fought to a 1-1 draw here.

Ali Mussavi put host HOMA ahead in the 15 minutes of the second leg, but Mahmud Pur-Assadollah leveled the match 10 minutes later.

Referee Fereydun Esfahanian sent off both managers and HOMA’s Edo Sunday 15 minutes from time.

Paykan had already advanced to the league.
