Hanover's Hashemian set to join Team Melli next week

IRNA - German Bundesliga club Hanover 96 is to provide additional medical treatment for Vahid Hashemian's injured knee over the next days however the speedy Iranian forward is expected to join the Iranian national team by the weekend, the kicker sports magazine reported Monday.

Hashemian suffered the knee injury in Hanover's scoreless draw at Mainz 05 on April 8.

The Iranian national squad is currently holding a 10-day pre-World Cup training camp in the Swiss town of Spiez.
