Iran defeats Uzbekistan in Spring Cup

uzreport - Iran U-23 football team has gone to the top of the table after defeating Uzbekistan 2-0 on Tuesday at the four-team Spring Cup football tournament in Hanoi (Vietnam).

Iran's star player was Ehsan Khorsandi who scored both goals in the 30th and 48th minute. In the other game played on Tuesday, Australia and Vietnam played out a 0-0 draw.

Iran top the rankings with 4 points, followed by Vietnam and Australia who have 2 points each. Uzbekistan are bottom with just one point.

The winners of the Spring Cup will get a trophy and US$40,000, while the runners-up will pocket US$20,000. The third-placed team will receive US$10,000.
