Karimi starts rehab work

Berlin - Bayern star midfielder Ali Karimi has returned to Munich to begin rehab work on his injured right ankle, the official club website announced Friday.

Doctors have already removed the cast on Karimi's right ankle, enabling Asia's player of the year to perform his necessary rehab assignments.

Karimi suffered the ankle injury in his team's 2-1 home loss against Bundesliga rivals Hamburger SV.
