Iran remains in 19th place in latest FIFA rankings

IRNA - Triple Asian Cup winners Iran remain in 19th place in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Wednesday, only two slots below three-time World Cup title-holders Germany.

Iran's World Cup Group D opponents Mexico dropped two places to seventh while Portugal held on to its 10th place and Angola fell two spots to 63rd.

Brazil still dominates the FIFA rankings with 839 points followed by the Czech Republic with 796 points and the Netherlands with 790 points.
