Iranian international star Ali Karimi says he is not prepared to join another German club should Bayern Munich decide to let him go.

Reports claimed Asian Player of the Year Karimi was heading for FC Cologne as part of the deal to take German international striker Lukas Podolski to Bayern.

"I do not know anything about that," Karimi told Kicker magazine. "I came to Munich to make it here at Bayern. I will not join another club in Germany."

Karimi, 27, joined Bayern from Al Ahli Dubai in the summer on a one-year renewable deal but the club have yet to take out the option for next season.

"Bayern have a strong team and I knew it would take time to settle," said Karimi.

"I am not entirely happy with my form and feel there is still a lot to come. I came to Munich to be a success and want to stay here longer."

With German international captain Michael Ballack set to leave at the end of the season Karimi hoped to take over the playmaker role but Paraguayan international Julio Dos Santos arrived on Wednesday to place a question mark over his future.
