Asefi slams Zionist world cup rap

Tehran - Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Sunday rejected Zionist propaganda aimed at depriving Iranian football team of its place in the world cup games 2006, Germany, on the pretext that Iran mixed up sports with politics.

The Zionists have launched propaganda about the cancellation of LG's sponsorship of football matches in Tehran.

Asefi said that there is no place for such a scenario and Iranian football federation later reached a settlement with LG.
