Malavan navigates way to victory

IRIB - The navy's side Malavan scored an early winner to beat visitor Barq 1-0 in an empty Takhti stadium in Bandar Anzali, Gilan province, Friday.

Ali Qorbani scored the sole goal of the match in a stormy counterattack in the ninth minute.

Malavan came close to the second on 21 minutes when Jalal Khavandi's goalbound header was spectacularly saved by Barq keeper Reza Haj-Osboubi.

Khavandi missed a scoring opportunity minutes before the interval. Malavan is in the seventh place in the table.
