Hannover's Hashemian targets UEFA Cup berth

IRNA - New Hannover 96 striker Vahid Hashemian has set his sights on qualifying for the UEFA Cup this coming season, the kickers sports magazine reported in its Thursday edition.

Hashemian who will team up in Hannover's front line attack with German international Thomas Brdaric, said earlier his new team had "a lot of potential" to grab a UI or UEFA Cup spot.

Hannover has undergone a major revamping of its squad for the upcoming season, signing several top Bundesliga players.
