Japan's Yomiuri lands on Ali Karimi

Tehran - Japan's best professional club Yomiuri said it had talks with forward Ali Karimi on his transfer, but he made no decision to part with Al Ahli before end of his term.

Yomiuri plans to land on Karimi, the best Asian footballer of year nominated by Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in December 2004, local sources told IRNA in Dubai.

The Iranian forward's contract with Al Ahli will run out in six month, the source said, but the littoral Arab state's club continues efforts to prolong his agreement.
