IRNA - Majid Jalali dropped from zenith to nadir as the science-oriented manager was axed here Monday.
The trainer, who steered Pas toward championship in the third Iran Pro League, received his walking papers from the club Managing
Director, Brigadier General Mostafa Ajorlou.
Lackluster performance and poor results prompted the managing director to make the decision.
Holder Pas has nosedived to the 11th spot in the 16-team table on 15 points out of 14 games.
Ajorlou, in an open letter, wrote, "The club`s strategy is the amalgamation of morals and science. The strategy helped Pas lift
the trophy."
Addressing Jalali in another part of his letter, the club supremo continued, "You will remain the hero in the club forever. Pas
celebrated the title in the last edition of Iran Pro League thanks to your unflinching efforts."
Jalali had already offered his resignation but the club`s board of directors did not agree with his request.
Former San`at Naft head coach Ali Firouzi took the helm as a caretaker.
Jalali is the seventh league manager, who was sacked this season.
The serial firings started with the expulsion of Paykan manager Homayoun Shahrokhi and continued with the victimization of Barq trainer Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, Paykan head coach Mohammad-Mayeli-Kohan, Pegah manager Yasic, Shamoushak trainer Nasser Ebrahimi, and Saba
Battery head coach Parviz Mazloumi.
