Mahdavikia rules out leaving Hamburger SV during winter break

IRNA - Iranian national team striker Mehdi Mahdavikia said he has no plans to depart Hamburger SV during the Bundesliga inter break, despite mounting dissatisfaction over his substitute role in the north German club.
"The situation is very difficult for me. I will not however - that`s definite - give up. I have no intention of leaving HSV this winter," Mahdavikia told the afternoon daily Hamburger Abendblatt on Wednesday.
A reserve player for the past three months, the former Perspolis forward has repeatedly voiced deep frustration over his benching. Earning 2 million euros a year, the popular HSV player extended recently his contract until 2007.
