MNA – Iran’s football team left here Monday for Amman, capital of Jordan. 
Iran’s Croat Head Coach Branco Ivankovic released the names of the 21 footballers who are to make up Iran’s squad in the crucial September 8 second-leg World Cup qualifying match against Jordan. 

Against the run of play, Jordan beat Iran 1-0 in Azadi Stadium in Tehran.

Among the squad are Ebrahim Mirzapour, Mahdi Rahmati, Hassan Roudbarian, Yahya Golmohammadi, Mohammad Nosrati, Jalal Kameli Mofrad, Ali Badavi, Hossein Ka’bi, Rahman Rezaei, Ali Karimi, Javad Nekounam, Mohammad Alavi, Sattar Zare’, Farzad Majidi, Iman Mob’ali, Mahdi Amirabadi, Javad Kazemian, Alireza Vahedi-Nikbakht, Khodadad Azizi, Vahid Hashemian, and Ali Daei.

Iran meets Jordan Wednesday night.

The Iranian coach has dropped Gholamreza Enayati, Mehrzad Ma’danchi, Morteza Kashi, and Amir Vaziri on Sept. 5. 

Iran’s national squad lies in second spot with six points with Jordan being Group A leader on nine points.
