Sepahan arrives in Jeddah

IRNA - Iran`s representative in the Asian Champion League, Sepahan, arrived in the Saudi port city Jeddah Sunday. 
The Isfahan-based Sepahan was welcomed by the Iranian Consulate staffers and people. 
Sepahan will train in three sessions before its second-leg match with Al Ittihad on Tuesday. 
NAVIDKIA MAIN TARGET 
National midfielder of Sepahan, Moharram Navidkia, is undoubtedly targeted by Al Ittihad squad in the return clash. 
Goal-assist expert Navidkia created three scoring chances to fire Sepahan into a 3-2 victory over the Saudi visitor Al Ittihad in an Asian Champions League Group D match in Isfahan, central Iran, on April 7. 
The two sides played a cagey football before the interval in front of over 35,000 spectators in Naqsh-e Jahan stadium. 
But this was the home side, which started attacking from the very beginning of the second half. 
Sepahan`s nimble striker Mahmoud Karimi fired home a gilt-edged pass from Navidkia in the six-yard area in the 48th minute. 
The Naqsh-e Jahan faithful were silenced three minutes later when Muhamed Heidar grabbed the equalizer following a blunder from the Isfahani side`s Georgian defender Jabu Mujiri. 
In the 55th minute, skipper Navidkia sent a through ball for the fast-paced forward Rassoul Khatibi, who rifled a powerful shot past Al Ittihad`s hapless keeper. 
Saudi Arabian champion was stunned on 61 minutes as the in-form Navidkia dispossessed his marker with a well-judged tackle to curl a delightful cross for Karimi, leaving him alone with the goalie to beat with an angled header. 
The yellow-clad Sepahan was pinned back in its own area as Al Ittihad - powered by three Brazilians - planned one attack after another until it minimized the gap seven minutes from the final whistle. 
Fed by a perfect back-heeled pass, the Brazilian striker Viera Andrea coolly side-footed the ball in from close range. 
Winning seven points of three games, Sepahan is the tabletopper and Al Ittihad sticks to its heel with one point less.
