Mehr News – Iran will entertain the German football squad in a friendly in the 100,000-seater Azadi stadium, west of Tehran.
Iran’s Football Federation president Mohammad Daadkan and the German federation secretary general Horst Schmidt agreed to hold a friendly on Oct. 9.

According to an agreement signed by the two sides, the game will kick off at 08:00 p.m. and some part of the gate will be given to charity for the quake-stricken people of Bam, southeast of Iran.

A killer earthquake flattened the historical city on Dec. 26, 2003, claiming over 26,000 lives and leaving thousands wounded.
